Marcel Droz from the Geoinformation Office, Kanton of Berne has graduated from UNIGIS Salzburg in 2007 and now has won the prestigious 'young researchers award' from the Munich 'GIS Round Table' for his thesis on assessing landscape aesthetics in the UNESCO World Heritage site Jungfrau-Aletsch-Bietschenhorn (German language abstract).
